Jewish Connection Circles

Beginning in January I'll start hosting monthly salons in various homes called, "Jewish Connections Circles" for women. This dovetails with a key part of my mission which is to create more connections for Jewish women that allow them to be in conversation with each other about issues they are grappling with. I recently did a survey of women to find out what they most want to hear. You can also visit my website at www.lynnchapmancoaching.com. Here is what Jewish women most want to discuss:

-Aging parents
-Jewish music
-The hows and whys of prayer
-Strengthening our response to Israel's latest obstacles to peace
-Preparing for retirement
-Parenting young adult children
-Remarriage and blended families
-How to keep college age kids interested in Judaism/also maintaining Jewish identity while living in a Christian majority
-Aging selves
-Women supporting other women in the world
-Women without children
-Single life and maintaining community connection
-Jewish goddess spirituality
-Lesbian/bisexual women's issues
-Interfaith marriage
-Kabbalah
-Jewish spirituality
-Women of the wall
-Dealing with death

If you are interested in being on the mailing list to receive information about "Jewish Connection Circles", please send an e-mail to me at lynn@lynnchapmancoaching.com. Hope to see you there!

My philosophy

I believe we are incredibly strong, beautiful, and courageous. We also come from a rich, deep heritage of survival and resilience. It’s up to us to decide what’s important to us and who we are by speaking to each other, learning together, creating community and wrestling with the tough questions about how to live as Jewish women in the 21st century. Through coaching, group discussions in private homes, retreats, and other special workshops, my intention is to assist Jewish women to create a life they love and leave a legacy they can be proud of. My hope is that this website will become a forum for communicating the ideas that most tug at our hearts and minds.

As Jewish women, we have the same hopes, dreams, problems, and aspirations as other woman in our society today. The difference is that along with our desire to have a life we love, we often have greater than average expectations placed on us by our parents and the Jewish community. For those who have left major Jewish population centers, we may find we have to twist ourselves to fit into a cultural norm that is not one we grew up with. Or we may have grown up with no or little Jewish background and now we find we want more connection to other Jews and what it means to be Jewish. The question becomes- how can we begin to live authentically, coming from a place inside ourselves of deep knowing? How can we live more authentically as women and where do we fit into the Jewish landscape?

My Coaching Practice

As a Jewish woman, I am called to help other Jewish women discover their authentic voice by uncovering beliefs that no longer serve them and connecting to new ways of being so they can more powerfully move through their world. I love to help women explore and manifest their true gifts. I specialize in working with women who have not taken the traditional Jewish life path of marriage and motherhood, but will work with any Jewish woman who is seeking change in her life.
